The cheapest way to get from Ukraine to Poland
An article for those who have not yet been to Poland, but really want to get there from Ukraine and even cheaper :)
Expensive options are border crossing by train or plane. These options are good for everyone, except for their price. For example, the train Kyiv - Przemysl / Przemysl (this is the first city after the border) will cost 600 UAH, and the train Kyiv - Warsaw already 1500 UAH.
Cheap options are crossing the border on foot or by bike (for those who are going on a bike tour in Poland).
The easiest way is if you live near Lviv - an electric train goes from there to the Medika checkpoint. If you live in areas remote from the west of Ukraine, then you should google trains to Lviv. For example, the Zaporozhye-Lviv train costs 200 UAH per reserved seat. The train to Medica costs a penny.
It is best to cross the border if you are a pedestrian or a cyclist - then you will not have to stand in a 3-hour queue for inspection - you will be let through the gate for the disabled, it works in both directions. I don’t know why such an attitude towards hikers and cyclists, but this is good news :) Inspection of a bicycle bag or backpack of a backpacker is practically not carried out, they take the word that there is nothing forbidden inside.
