Sailing Booster System
I would like to try this system in action :)
The idea is that two cunningly shaped wings cling to the boat, which are controlled by electric motors and can be raised or lowered depending on the course relative to the wind or other conditions.
Each wing has an adjustable angle of attack, thus. can compensate for the heeling force from the sails. Also, when both wings are in the water, it greatly reduces the sway of the hull on the water. When moving in full courses or under the engine, the wings should be raised out of the water.
According to the assurances of the developers, such wings make it possible to reduce the weight of the keel by 2/3 of the regular one, because. the work on stability will be mainly carried out by the wings.
Also, the wings reduce the rocking of the boat on the waves, thus. reducing the danger to the tanker and allowing him to work with the staysail in more optimal conditions.
