Part 4: South of Winter
It was getting colder in the northern United States and the boat repair window was closing. Dan and Kika decided to move the boat further south to Florida, where they would have plenty of time to repair it.
To do this, they removed the mast and packed the boat in a large container, in which she reached her destination.
Now the boat is here:
Work began on repairing the boat and preparing for launching.
Removed the table in the center of the cabin (it interfered in the aisle)
The veneered floorboards were removed, already rotten and, as it turned out, a colony of tiny bugs lived in them.
Kika flies to Haiti to join her family for the annual training camp (it's funny, it looks like there are no traffic rules in Haiti, everyone drives as they want, there seem to be no traffic lights either).
They decide to put an electric motor instead of a diesel engine, this was influenced by the fact that Uma's team is ready to wait if there is no wind and are not ready to buy diesel fuel (batteries can be charged from solar panels).
So it goes )
