Round the world sailboat Delta
Andrei and Elena Nevzorov lived together for 25 years and raised two children. And then they got into a small boat and went on a round-the-world voyage that lasted three years. On the first Saturday of September, the couple returned home to Moscow. In three years, they traveled 30,000 miles on their ten-meter sailing sailboat Delta. The couple visited the Canary, Caribbean, Galapagos Islands, Fiji, Tahiti, Bali. The Nevzorovs crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 21 days, then passed the Panama Canal and entered the Pacific Ocean. The longest open ocean crossing lasted 28 days.her - from the Galapagos to the Marquesas Islands. Upon their return, the Nevzorovs told their friends and admirers who had gathered on Bersenevskaya Embankment how they decided to go towards the unknown.
A round-the-world trip on a sailboat is quite real and not as expensive as it might seem at first glance, the spouses are convinced. To do this, you do not need to be a millionaire, as is commonly believed. In order not to need anything on the way, you need about 1,000 euros per month, and in order to start - about 100,000 euros. This amount includes the cost of the sailboat, equipment and equipment. In most places where the Nevzorovs stayed, there were people who were ready to help travelers completely free of charge. The biggest difficulty with which the tablespouses rushed on the way, there was a lack of fresh water. At the end of the voyage, the travelers had to fight the bureaucrats: representatives of the GIMS were detained in Yaroslavl boat. Fortunately, the misunderstanding was resolved. For all those who are interested in how to go around the world, the Nevzorovs created the saillife.ru project. A detailed story about the trip is posted there, as well as online discussions of future routes and the preparations for the circumnavigation itself. “Each voyage is a step up to the rainbow in which we all oncedissolve,” says Andrey Nevzorov. While traveling, he began writing an autobiographical book, tentatively titled He, She and the Ocean. The circumnavigation of the world helped Elena Nevzorova to discover her talents: on the way she painted several paintings, although she had never been fond of painting before.
Going on a long voyage is scary, and at first you have no idea what you are getting into, Elena recalls, but over time you get a taste. The couple have gotten into the taste to such an extent that they are already planning the next trip lasting 10-15 years: this time on a boat equipped with their own hands.
