From Gorodets to Nizhny Novgorod is only about 50 km and the only obstacle on the way is a floating bridge right in front of Nizhny Novgorod. It is brought down from 6 to 10 in the morning and from 18 to 22 in the evening, but since we left the Gorodets lock at noon and our average speed is 10 km / h, we should not worry, we have a whole hour in reserve.

There are many small dark and very fast terns flying near the boat. I haven't seen these before. It seems to me that this is a black tern. But more experienced comrades have already corrected me - white-cheeked. It's also a new look for me

But then Nizhny Novgorod appeared behind the next turn of the river

We are coming. Under the bridge, along the edges, the barges of the floating bridge are visible. We made it in time, and after another 4 km we will turn right into the Oka.
