Petrozavodsk - Chardon Islands - Suisari Island
Petrozavodsk is a very pleasant town, we stayed in it for two days: rested, bought provisions, fuel and Karelian souvenirs) After sleeping and eating, we left for Onega on July 18 and headed for the Chardonnay Islands.
Now we did not go at random, as before, but were guided by the book "From Moscow to Lake Onega on a sailboat" by Sergei Yakovlevich Moshkovsky, one of my teachers in the world of sail .. Although almost 20 years have passed since the writing, the book can be used, of course not forgetting about modern maps))
The Chardonnays are ahead.
We were going to stay here for a couple of days, but there was a very unfortunate wind: it was blowing just along the strait between the islands, where we were going to anchor. And the people on the Chardonnay turned out to be a little more than we would like: when approaching any place on the coast, either disgruntled unshaven faces protruded from the bushes, or there were nets. Proximity to Petrozavodsk affects, but it's a pity, it's very beautiful here!
We hardly found a place without fishermen and, having lowered the ace, swam to the shore
And there I briefly indulged in my favorite pastime, and Kolya captured me doing this))
and so too...
In many crevices in the stones local plants find their place
We stood on the islands for only about an hour, the weather turned bad (it started to rain, which is visible in the background in the title photo), and since the further forecast for the next two days was unfavorable, we went to about. Suisari. They say the movie "Cold Summer of 1953" was filmed around here. The rain passed, and when approaching the Deep Bay, a rainbow appeared on the northern side of the island.
We went into this bay and stood just in the place described by Sergei Yakovlevich, although only two remained from the three birches to which he moored, someone cut down the third ...
Here we stayed for two days.
No fish were caught..
I had to be content with potatoes with lard)))
After waiting out the bad weather, we went north, to Unitskaya Bay.
To be continued..
