Day 11: Paralimni - Larnaca
Tomorrow we have a plane to Ukraine, and today we had to get to Larnaca and spend the night on its outskirts. In the photo, places near the overnight stay.
In the morning, as I planned yesterday, I went to look at the training base.
About a dozen catamarans, several small boats that look like a "laser".
There is a float on the tops of the masts of catamarans to make it easier for students to restore the cat after an overkill.
In the process of collecting
In principle, it was a good place to spend the night :)
Red Indian - local fast food, like McDonald's.
We stopped at the cape, which is located on the southeastern tip of the island. Of course, here the military seized their territory and surrounded it with a fence)
We shopped here, had lunch and a funny incident happened to us:
when they went down to the water along the stones, they found a pair of slippers, which someone from the group immediately appropriated for themselves. We thought that someone had lost it, but it turned out not quite so) A little later, a man drove up to our bathing place in a car, I talked to him - it turned out he was engaged in spearfishing, showed pictures with fish more than a meter in length) He warned us to we did not leave things unattended here - they often steal here. And then he saw these slippers on the feet of one of ours ... In general, these were his slippers - he left them when he dived and tepeI returned for them))) I had to give it back) So they often steal here)))
Another photo of this cape.
Now we were waiting for the road along the coast towards Larnaca. On the way, we got hold of potatoes and met such cute puppies)
Nice entrance to the house
We also saw an open-air museum from the road - there are various strange sculptures here
After the museum, we approached Larnaca.
The tall chimneys on the left are a gas power plant. By the way, there is no central gas supply in Cyprus, the population comes by car to the places where gas cylinders are sold.
Finding a parking spot on the beach in the suburbs of Larnaca, we drove light to the local supermarket. It is noteworthy that people leave bicycles at such shops unattached and unattended. By the way, not cheap bikes - it means there is almost no theft here.
The route for today, we drove 67 km (at the end we made a loop, because we went to the supermarket):
