Day 0 and 1. Flight and first rain :)
Tomorrow our bike tour starts in Turkey along the Antalya - Izmir route, things are already packed, there are 3 hours left to sleep before departure :) The group was made up of 5 people: I (Klochko Artem), Olya Bilinskaya, Tatyana Lazunko, Yura Vasiliev and Grisha Kosyak. The hike was registered as two bike rides (because none of us have the experience of driving 2 ks yet). In total, it is planned to cover 530 km in 13 days, with one day at the bus crossing.
For the lazy, there is a video about the whole trip in a nutshell :)
Our flight was from Donetsk, where our group had to get from Zaporozhye, where we live. The direct train was at night, if they had gone, in Donetsk they would have to wait 20 hours before departure. Therefore, we decided to go through Dnepropetrovsk, at the same time take a walk there. Upon arrival, it turned out that several participants needed to put locks on a chain and exchange hryvnia for dollars. We googled the nearest bike shop to us from a smartphone and drove off. It turned out that the store is encrypted from the tax office and we barely found an inconspicuous door to a private house, in which the store was located. ExaI had to go to Donetsk on the Skoda train - a double-decker electric train. There are seats inside, I got a seat on the second floor. Every seat has a 220V socket, so I charged my phone and the batteries in the flashlight.
We visited Donetsk near the Donbass Arena, there is a beautiful park. At 22:00 we arrived at the Donetsk airport. By the way, it is only 3 km from the railway station and there is a Metro supermarket nearby, so you can buy food and packing materials for the bikes there. It took 3 hours to pack the bikes. we have 2 girls who were helped to disassemble. This time we packed the bikes in pairs and transported them in order to pay less for transporting bicycles ($60 per package one way).
Departure was at 3:20, impressions of the flight: I got on the plane, closed my eyes, opened my eyes, got off the plane. Everyone overslept :) we had a flight through Istanbul, where we had to wait 2 hours before the plane to Antalya. Olya was almost lost at the airport, she fell asleep on the seats where none of us saw her) We flew to Antalya for only an hour, there was low cloud cover and it was cool to land: clouds, clouds and suddenly they had already settled :)
The plane landed in Antalya at 9:10. In the process of collecting bicycles, almost everyone had eights on wheels, but they were small. Since none of us had corrected eights before, we decided to leave it that way. For some reason, I also began to slow down the rear brake (hydraulics) badly, but it seemed that I could do without. We finished collecting the bikes at about 12:00. We also had an overlay with a tent: we planned to take 2 double tents for five, but one of them turned out to be an Auchan tent ... we decided to ask our friends who were just finishing their hiking trip in Turkey inday of our arrival. While we were collecting the bikes, Olya went by minibus to the bus station, where we agreed to meet with the second group, and when we finished assembling the bikes, Olya arrived with a 4-seater storm tent. Looking ahead, I want to say that it came in handy) There is nothing to do with the Auchan tent in Turkey in the rain.
Today we had to spend the night in Kemer, which is 70 km away, so we drove quickly. On the way, we bought potatoes, onions and bread (for one dinner, it cost 5 liras or 25 UAH), gasoline for the burner (0.8 liters for 4 liras or 20 UAH) and some water.
The road was a little annoying due to the proximity of transport, but the drivers are better than in Ukraine. We passed 3 tunnels, they are so noisy that after passing all we stopped to rest.
18 km before Kemer, we got into the rain, and since it was already evening, we decided to drive in the rain. In an hour, the roads got completely wet in the rain, the sleeping bags got a little wet, but only a little bit. Rain capes were not taken on trunks.
