Day 13. We spend the night near the airport and get to know Ahmed
After a night walk around the city, which ended at 2 o'clock, I did not want to wake up early. But it so happened - our "newlyweds" Olya and Yura, it turns out, do not know the rules of good manners in the campaign and behaved in the morning not at all modestly) Izmir weather today surprised with a strong wind of 10 m/s. By tradition, we gathered before noon :) for some reason, on this trip we leave late and set up camp often after sunset. We said goodbye to the guy who sheltered us for 2 nights in Izmir, went to the embankment. Of course, the wind was oncoming and sometimes it was difficult to go even 10 km/h.We put trunks on bikes near the house where we lived. Tonight we will sleep in a tent, and in 2 days I managed to get used to the house. By the way, the bikes were stored on the street at night, just fastened with a bike lock. In this country, you should not be afraid for their safety.
We stopped at Kulturpark again - we really liked this place in Izmir
On the embankment, Tanya and I stayed to watch the bikes, and the rest went to the market to buy souvenirs (I had already bought it earlier, and Tanya was broke) I had to wait more than an hour :) all the souvenirs were bought and we drove along the long embankment - to look for a beach for swimming. There are no beaches in Izmir because it is believed that the water in the bay is dirty due to shipping. There is a beach outside the city on the south side, and we went there.

Found an interesting monument
Some warship near the waterfront
Looking for an overnight stay on the beach
After winding through the streets, we finally found a semblance of a beach and set up camp. Nearby is a hotel and its tenant named Ahmed came out to talk to us. We talked about different things: government, mountains, bicycles, etc. Ahmed stayed with us until midnight telling interesting stories from his life. It turns out that he has a farm near Selcuk and he invited us to visit if we are still in those parts sometime.
Today we drove 34 km and gained 350 m of altitude.
