Day 6: Miletus - Didim
The night was restless - a lot of wild animals wandered around the tent. I heard hyenas and boars. They didn’t climb into the tent, but it was still dumb)
We got out of the tent, looked at the tracks of animals in the clay around, and then saw a flock of flamingos in the distance. Photo at 10x zoom.
I didn't get a good night's sleep :) The area is swampy, it's better not to spend the night here.
We arrived in Miletus - large ruins, but they are far from Ephesus.
After Miletus, we went to Didyma, and there is a temple of Apollo. A huge building, probably in life it was beautiful. The roof has not been preserved and most of the columns, too. Some of the statues have been restored.
And this is a new monument) Near the temple.
This is the temple of Apollo.
Bus station Didim. In the evening, after a brief debate about where to go next, we boarded a bus to Antalya. I wanted to see more, but we would not have had time to return before departure. Made a mistake on planning for a couple of days. Overnight on the bus. We rode the bikes for this day: 35 km.
